ASOV DR Congo

ASOV Stockholm and ASOV DR Congo have had a strong collaboration since 2006 and more types of development projects. In order to create long-term social change, the projects have seen a need to continue and be further developed. Because the area and the organizations received the possibility to further develop the projects that have worked could be specified based on their experiences and conclusions that could be drawn from previous development projects.

The lessons learned on which the projects are based has been confirmed and deepened, which has enabled the creation of new relevant, in-demand and anchored projects. The political instability in the DR Congo and the proximity to Burundi have led to its relocation, the administrative handling and parts of the activities to the neighboring country. ASOV Burundi has therefore been created by those active in ASOV DR Congo as the security situation has in periods limited the implementation of the activity’s participation in DR Congo.
